This past month has been busy. The fishing has been great and late summer time patterns have settled in. The winds have laid down and we have had excellent tailing action up skinny. The jacks are around intermittently and we are even starting to see a few more larger trout which is a blessing. I have not kept a single fish all year which has been a journey for me because I love to eat fresh fish. I think the wait will be worth it and I love to see the mind set of some of our more accomplished long time guides and fisherman change to protect the resource. Now if we can get guys to quit burning the flats and shorelines our fishery will be on its way to recovery. Along those lines I had the pleasure of guiding if you can call it that and fishing with long time big trout legend and long time conservationist David Rowsey this last week to tune up his fly fishing skills before he heads to Wyoming for a summer trout fishing vacation. We do not get to do this very often because we are both busy but it is always a pleasure. Dave doesn't have a bad cast and is easily tuned
and better than that he knows how to feed a fish as good or better than anyone, That makes for a productive day. Good luck in Jackson buddy and thanks for fishing with me!
