The story of Laguna Fly Outfitters is pretty simple. I live to fish and for the last 30 years have worked my tail off so that I could either fly fish or bow hunt with traditional tackle every minute that I am not at work. My initial job has been that of a physician and  for many years was very demanding, especially of my time. The rest of the time is spent managing our family ranch and raising my kids who are both now grown. I am blessed to have started fly fishing thirty years ago in the Rockies and have floated and fished a large percentage of those waters while I lived in Idaho and Colorado. Twenty years ago I moved back to Texas because the pull of the salt was too strong and i needed to get back to the Texas Coast. If a man is going to live in Texas then South Texas is the place to be.

   I left the drift boat in Idaho in 2002 and moved to my fishing shack in Port Aransas that dad and I had developed back in the nineties. I have fished the Texas Coast from POC to Port Isabel for the last 30 plus years, continually trying to learn the nuances of the  "Mother Lagoon". The last 20 years i have lived on the Oso with the rest of the "bluff rats". I still do a little ER relief work but primarily guide fly fishers on the Upper Laguna Madre and surrounding waters. The rest of the time I am outfitting hunters on the ranch in Goliad. Laguna Fly Outfitters is a fly fishing guide service out of Corpus Christi, Texas specializing in fly fishing the Laguna Madre.
